Ahh! The food pouches craze had gotten even better! I am in LOVE with the Squooshi pouches. For whatever reason a lot of babies love food pouches. These give you the best of both worlds, the ability to make your own baby food & use a pouch. It’s great that these are easy to fill (from the bottom zip) and they are super easy to wash. You want to make sure you don’t over fill them though (only 3/4 of the pouch should be full) or you shall face the consequences; possible explosion. Squooshi pouches are BPA-free, PVC-free, Lead-free, Phthalate-free, and are puncture resistant plastic.
I love this quote from their website, “As a family-run company committed to sustainability, we are continually researching new processes and options for ecologically sound, food safe packaging. Squooshi resealable food pouches use less fuel in shipping than do pre-packaged food-filled pouches, and they are reusable, so they save energy and reduce waste, air pollution, and global warming. We hope you will fill them with organic goodness whenever possible to reduce pesticide exposure and support organic farming. Squooshi pouches are a good step, in a better direction and we thank you for joining us in our quest for good, clean, healthy, and fun living on this planet we all share.”
A great part about Squooshi’s is that kids of all ages, not just babies, love them. They work great as snack pouches for older kids. Save money by using them for yogurt instead of having to buy yogurt tubes.
What makes Squooshi pouches different than other pouches on the market is that they have a resealable closure at the bottom (like a sturdy, non-leaking, ziploc bag). This is what makes them so easy to wash, and to fill.
On their website you’ll find yummy recipes, and a wide variety of packages to chose from.
Squooshi sent me their assorted 4 pack of 2 small & 2 large pouches. It retails for a super reasonable $18.49. Squooshi pouches can be bought on their website at www.Squooshi.com.
